Joe Evola
IT Student & Developer
Community College, Information Technology Program
I'm an Information Technology student passionate about solving real-world problems through software. CampusConnect was born from my own frustration navigating multiple disconnected platforms during my college experience, Canvas, email, tutoring portals, and group chats all living in separate places.
About Me
My name is Joe Evola, and I am currently enrolled in the Information Technology program at my community college. This project represents the culmination of my coursework in web development, systems design, and application architecture.
Throughout my studies, I have developed skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and backend development. I am driven by a desire to build tools that genuinely help people, especially students like myself who are navigating the challenges of higher education.
CampusConnect is my answer to a problem I experienced firsthand: the lack of a unified digital workspace for community college students. By combining assignment tracking, tutoring scheduling, campus notifications, and collaboration tools into one platform, I aim to reduce friction and improve student outcomes.
Technical Skills
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, JSON
Git, VS Code, Figma, Vite, npm
Responsive Design, MVC Architecture, Agile Development, UX/UI Principles
My Vision
"Technology should remove barriers, not create them. CampusConnect is my commitment to making college more manageable for every student."
I believe that well-designed software can transform the student experience. My goal with CampusConnect is to demonstrate that even a single developer, with the right tools and a clear problem to solve, can build something meaningful.
